Old Man's Beard Meets The Spring
A beautifully bright and frosty morning. The old man's beard/wild clematis/travellers' joy is still in the hedge against the lovely blue sky as new buds are ready to burst.
MrQ was always clean-shaven, as was his father. My father-in-law used to shave with a cut- throat razor that he sharpened on a leather strop. MrQ kept the beard that he grew whilst in hospital two years ago. He loved playing the part of Father Christmas that year. I rouged his cheeks and powdered his whiskers to get the Raymond Briggs look.
