Nuthatch
Went for a run around the grounds of the Hall and local roads. It was cold but very bright. The road part was busier than we expected but there was a verge to leap on if needed.
Got ready to go out but realised the scaffolding lorry had blocked us in the courtyard. Nobody had warned us that the work would be taking place so it was a bit of a blow. I had a chat with the guys in the lorry and they nicely agreed to move both lorries, the planks and their wheelbarrow so we could escape. Even the NT staff were surprised to see them dismantling the scaffolding round the clock tower.
We visited a nearby castle at Tattershall. Interesting place but cold and rainy. We could see Lincoln cathedral and Boston stump from the top.
Came back to visit Gunby Hall before we retired to the warmth of the cottage. I'd put a coconut shell feeder in a tree outside the front window when we arrived and we watched this nuthatch scooping out the peanut butter suet over several visits.
