Igreja Do Senhor Bom Jesus, Ponta Delgada

The village church is right down by the water's edge, quite a walk up hill afterwards!  It was rebuilt at the beginning of the last century having been burnt down.  The interior, especially the East end, is very ornate and there is a painted ceiling. (See Extras).  The cleaning lady there is known for her lovely singing while she is working and we were lucky enough to hear her.
