Moonlight

I took two photos of the moon today.  The first one, in the extra  was around 1 am and the second, the main was around 23. 40. 

The first was was a bit strange looking as it seemed to have a red band around it and round, red reflections at points north, south, east and west.  The second shot I took as it seemed very bright in the sky at 9.30 as we drove home after being at a quiz with friends. The main blip is taken through the branches of the trees as I didn't want to stay up until after midnight when it would have moved further around past the trees.
