Back in the Garden

D & R left for home after breakfast this morning so J & I headed outside into the garden.
J is repairing the gates, he had to dig down to access the duct under the driveway & pull the old pipes through, he’s managed to get one out so three more to go.
I carried on trying to get the goat willow stump out, I’ve cut off all the roots radiating from the trunk but the stump is still fixed solid so I’m cutting it up with an axe, I don’t know if we can get it all out but maybe if we can get it well below ground it won’t regrow.
I’m googling to find an answer.
