You know what this is, don't you?
Slept quite well, primarily because I had removed myself to the basement. It was 9.30 when I woke up – and I had a bad wake up because the phone rang to jolt me out of whatever happy reverie I was having. So, even with 10 hours sleep, I still felt pretty zonked. Decided that today was the day I was going to be better and settled down to do some of the many, many chores I had on my own list. This is to be contrasted with the Mrs. Ottawacker list, which is entirely different and to which I frequently do not have access until I have missed doing the chore I am supposed to do.
For once, my list enabled me to make quite easy headway. I had to choose a book to review, re-introduce myself to the person who used to give me contracts (without using words like “where are they?” and “remember our last conversation?”), and find time to get a number of repairs done to my camera (still dead) and my computer (terminally ill).
Drove Ottawacker Jr. to his friend Caelan’s house – most of Ottawacker Jr.’s friends seem to have been away over the March break. Normally, this would have led to some complaining from the most diminutive member of the family, but our all having been sick was an escape clause.
Rest of the day spent huddled over a computer. Did get a fair bit done though.
If you didn’t recognise what the image was, let me tell you. It is water – in a non-frozen form. But don’t for a second think I am getting excited. I’ve lived through far too many of these false dawns.
