Coal digging
It's that dredger again, the Magnor. Bringing up great bucketfuls of black stuff, not the mud and silt it was raising before; presumably there's coal close to the surface in the channel ..
Pilates first thing. Went around by Charlotte Square hoping to visit the new bookshop at the National Trust for Scotland shop; the building was marked 'closed for private event'. Back by Young street and Queen Street gardens.
7C in the afternoon, and not too much wind; we walked down to Victoria Park, where Jac's coffee van was visiting .. sign of spring .. From there through Milk to Newhaven Main Street, past the harbour to Lighthouse Park.
Saw a pair of eider duck heading out of the channel as we were watching the dredger. Three swans on the eastmost pond. Return by no 11 bus.
