Purple sandpipers

Blue skies again this morning, so I decided to go to Point Pleasant Park for a walk. I was hoping to find the purple sandpipers this time, and I was in luck. They were having a nap on a rocky outcrop.
I also saw American wigeons, black ducks, common eider, a black guillemot and a couple of sparrow, along with the resident crows and herring gulls.
On the way home I took a detour past a client's house and the first crocus are in bloom. A couple more days of sunshine and warmer temperatures should bring the dwarf iris into bloom.
I spent the afternoon working on a jigsaw puzzle and later I went outside to sweep the gravel off the steps and off the driveway beside my truck. It sticks to my boots and I will have to vacuum the truck again.
Trying to decide where to go tomorrow. The valley or the south shore? The forecast is calling for a high of 11 in the valley, and 8 on the south shore. Both areas will be mostly sunny.
