Ugh. Much too busy at work again, thrashing out a letter to the government, then thrashing out revised guidance, then marking my assistant's work and ensuring their project plan was going, well, to plan.

After breakfast though I got the red gloss paint out and sprayed a first coat onto the replacement body panel repair, and left it in the sun to dry, then went to work. Lunchtime was more of the same, during which my big blue boy came visiting and went to sleep on his chair. After work was sandpaperin' time. Bestie last night suggested just painting the entire original panel rather than just the bits that weren't decals. I decided I needed to move on from the memory of the events that led to the panel getting damaged in the first place, and in about an hour I had erased the evidence pretty thoroughly. And that'll do for now, because the replacement panel is the one I'll work on to finish.

Friday Film Night was another episode of our favourite Jersey detective, and I think I spotted a couple of interesting phone boxes in it. For the rest of the evening I did some derusting of an exhaust pipe and then returned to Fidra's coolant leaks. I took the first layer of engine off again and poked around but nothing was obviously leaky. I'll need to run the engine next and see what happens.
