Awayday
A day trip by train :-)
I went to Wales ... I went home for a few hours! You might think me a bit crazy but there was method in my madness. Away for eleven days, with the weather dry and initially very warm, all the potted plants and bulbs needed watering, a long job, not fair to phone a friend. I also fitted in two loads of laundry, a meal and a soak in the bath! On a simply beautiful day it was all time well spent. After an early start I was back with Ruth by 7pm, more laundry done (!) and now we're watching more of Our Welsh Chapel Dream. Back in Wales again!
The train journey through Wales from Shrewsbury is scenic but the jewel in the crown is the Cambrian Coast line from Machynlleth. Above the view North as the line crosses the Dyfi. On the other side of the hills the Talyllyn Railway runs, walking the lane from Rhydyronen you eventually reach a point where you can look down across the Dyfi and this very bridge. The Cambrian Coast line ends at Pwllheli ..... where Keith and Marg are restoring their dream chapel.
