Bryony

Coming to stay at Ruth's next week :-)

We returned to the cat rescue this morning.  The possible adoptee has been 'dog tested' but proved unsuitable.   This is not such a bad thing as Ruth is keen to foster cat(s) at present.   With more disruptive adaptation work to come, the option of adopting can be considered in future.  So here is Bryony.  Young and very very nervous, so much so that she will only allow herself to be handled when wrapped in a blanket.  She's been at the rescue for almost a year but they have made only a little progress,   The hope is that in a quiet house, with few people coming and going and no other cats, Ruth might be able to help her lose some of her anxieties.   She could have come today but with Meg still around and Louise coming to visit Ruth this weekend, a start on the day Meg and I go home seemed much kinder.

Back to Ruth's for lunch and a Meg walk then we set out for New Street with Bella where Jamie was passing through on his way home from Brighton.   By lucky chance, Louise had booked to travel from London on the same train as Jamie so they arrived together and we spent a happy hour chatting together over doughnuts at New Street.

A quietish night in at Ruth's before I head off to Norfolk tomorrow for the third talk of my trip on Sunday.
