SLOW

The repairs have been completed on the path through the park. I was able to walk over the new tarmac this afternoon on my return from the gym, as blipped. (For the background to this, please see my blip of 17th February 2024.)

I had two jobs to complete today. First, I needed to buy some new walking boots. This is because the heel of the left boot of my until-today-current pair has worn down to its hard structure. There is a join here that gives me a horrible blister whenever I wear these boots. Mr hazelh and I popped down to Tiso after lunch for a successful trip to upgrade my walking footwear. 

My second main job of the day was to practise a presentation for Friday with Bruce. We went through our slides and scripts in my study. We'll be well within time for our speaking slot, and with a little more practice on our own, we should be fluent in our delivery. Whatever happens, our slides are beautiful.

In other news, we learnt at our aquafit class this morning that our wonderful trainer, who also takes us for strength training and pilates, is going abroad in May for seven months. We are bereft! (However, I did ask Marc if his dog is going with him too. The answer was 'No' so I believe him when he says that he will be back.)

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; aquafit class; swim (20 lengths); strength training; walking (11,859 steps).
