BARTON MANOR

Well we are at The Barton Manor Hotel for the night. Pleasant enough room for one night, not enough hangers or drawers if you wanted to stay a few days. It does have a leisure facility and swimming pool but we won’t be using them this visit.

They are having a huge extension built with a further 46 bedrooms added, they already have two floors I wouldn’t have thought custom would be that demanding myself!!!

Luckily my appointment tomorrow is still supposed to be going ahead but I had a phone call at 9.30 to say they need to change the CT scan until next week but it wouldn’t affect the rest of the treatment.

Instant panic as I explained that we had booked a hotel room for tonight to ensure we could arrive on time and we couldn’t now cancel! She then said oh we won’t mess you around with hotel bookings we will put you back in! Phew, I just now hope that there isn’t a problem!!

I do feel awful about it but we only booked a room to ensure we were close enough as we have to be there by 8.30 and it wouldn’t affect the have meant leaving home at 6.00 ish or 7.30 at the latest to get there on time and then worry about motorway problems!

Why are hospital appointments so stressful these days, on top of the stress of the appointment that is. Not their fault they do an amazing job but I could do without all the added stress! It wouldn’t have been a problem if we lived closer!

Anyway, we will have a nice meal tonight and just hope all is ok tomorrow morning.
