A Promising Start

..to the day...

It has been a long time since I have been down to the lake to enjoy a sunrise, and I felt it was time. It is such a special time of day and I have missed the inspiration I get from that quiet time by the water, watching the sky begin to light up and gradually morph into a canvas of colour...... sometimes in soft pastels, other times in fiery reds and oranges... a new work of art each time!  

And then, one has to return to the day ahead and remind oneself to retain some of the peace and contentment of that sunrise when dealing with the insanities of our current world! 

It is all beyond me. I mean - a showcase of Teslas on the White House lawn?  Really?  The stock market is reeling. Ukraine will now get back the support you took away from them last week,  and oh yes..the tariffs, the threat of more tariffs, the pausing of tariffs, the retaliatory tariffs.........and now a hefty new 50% tariff? Just one more  slap-in-the-face for Canada. Oh wait a minute...you changed your mind on that one... for now...Geez...I just can't keep track! 

This is going to take a whole lot of sunrises...
