Peacock explosion!

I really hadn't intended to blip another butterfly, but sometimes you have to go with what pops up. I went for a wander to explore more of the local area. It was an interesting walk and I deliberately took my little bridge camera, set to point and shoot, as I wanted to concentrate on navigating and exploring. It really drives me mad, as I haven't got round to reading the manual properly as I expect to be able to do everything instinctively. For some reason, neither on the screen or through the viewfinder can I get a decent view of what I'm trying to capture, so to say my images are hit and miss would be an understatement.
I saw 3 different birds of prey, one of which was a buzzard, but not sure what the other two were as they were too far away for a decent view. I also saw a green woodpecker, a wren and a jay as well as lots of goldfinches. I found an abandoned farm and a hamlet with some rather splendid houses - looked a bit like a Tuscan village! Honest!
My camera did manage to capture one of the hundreds of peacocks which seem to have emerged just today. Never seen so many - it was astonishing!
