The view from Robert & Finola's
A lovely day. We were invited to Robert and Finola's new place. Finola used to live in Canada, Robert used to live in Cornwall and they met via an interest in rock art and have ended up here! The view is literally jaw dropping and today was very clear - a thin band of light and blue across the islands whilst inland was grey. You're looking down on Rossbrin Bay and the old stump of wall is all that remains of Rossbrin Castle. The island beyond is Castle Island, one of the many islands in Roaringwater Bay. We ate lunch gazing outwards and then took a wander down montbretia strewn lanes to investigate the harbour. I don't know how big you can biggify but there's quite a lot going on - yachts are sailing passed the island (it's Calves Week in Schull), a landrover is coming up a tiny lane and there's a horse's bottom on the left hand side.
Just been for a swim. Blissful. The water was warm and most jellyfish looked dead. We're now off to week two of the Fit up Theatre Company's offering, so will catch up tomorrow.
