A Drizzle of Snow
As forecast the snow started to fall at 12 o'clock. The weather folks seemed unsure exactly how much would fall and they had estimated from 5 to 15 cms. Fortunately (as I see it) it was nearer that lower limit and mostly fell as a drizzle of ice crystals, rather than those big fluffy flakes.
So the world is white once more. Those dirty piles of roadside snow are hidden for the moment, as are the formerly snow-free areas we worked with the last two days, helping the spring along. Tree branches are lined with snow and today even the sky cooperates in producing this monochrome world.
We went into town to see a French film, The Marching Band. It gets 3 of 5 points for being an enjoyable watch. It has lots of good music; classical, jazz, and brass band. It's thoughtful in places about relationships and how much your upbringing influences your adult self. Definitely worth seeing. I can imagine it's even more of a good watch if (unlike me) you speak French!
