No Milk Today

To M&S for a coffee and a bit of shopping. Mrs C is lactose intolerant so asked for a hot chocolate made with coconut milk. The assistant made sure that it was placed on a coaster stating it was “made with a dairy alternative”. A nice touch but, considering I was drinking coffee, I think we might have been able to distinguish between the two drinks! I’m sure that it’s probably just something they have to do, regardless of how obvious it is which drink is the one made with a dairy alternative.
A much quieter day all round. The warmth of the weekend has been replaced with much cooler and windier weather, so outside activity was not an attractive proposition. I’ve spent the afternoon running through my script again, ahead of tonight’s (first) tech rehearsal. Could be a bit of a stop/start affair as the techies attempt to match the lighting and sound effects to the action.
The least we actors can do to help this process is try and deliver the right lines, at the right time, whilst standing in the right place…
