Birthdays and Family Days
I almost overslept, misread the clock. We got to Brooklyn’s play off game right before the tip off. Our team came off the bench psyched. The game was so fast paced that it was hard getting a clear photo. Brooklyn had 12 points and she only played three quarters. We won 47-25. The championship game is next Sunday. The coaches from both teams let the girls who don’t get much play have the fourth quarter. From there, we picked up birthday gifts from home and stopped at Jamie’s. Parker and his aunt’s party had a Mardi Gras theme but the bead order did not arrive. I took them mine. We stayed until time to go to Madi’s 18th birthday party. It was held at a sports center. Not exactly our “scene” but we had fun watching the guests play pool, corn hole, darts, and hatchet throwing. We went back to Parker’s party in time for dinner. It was a struggle having only a vegetable salad with all the delicious food Renee offered. We are taking our walk in a few. Wishing you willpower when you really need it. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit and encouragement. I cannot remember if I mentioned it or not but our friend passed. He was one of the best and will be terribly missed. “Other things may change us, but we start and end with the family.” –Anthony Brandt
