Grand Old Lady

P had a meeting on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds this morning so I took S for a walk in Ickworth Park. A beautiful day, so the whole of Suffolk seemed to have the same idea. S and I stayed in the Albana Wood mainly as it was shaded (S was grumbling about the heat!) and not too busy - presumably everyone else wanted to be out in the sun. Anyway, this is the only photo I took - a oak which seems to have been in existence much longer than the rest of the wood.
