Patterns on the grass

Sunshine all day today - best day of the year so far. Shame that a neighbour got his chainsaw out and made a lot of noise cutting up firewood!

I gave the new staging a coat of weed preservative this morning and left it to dry. A couple of days ago I put a post on a local Facebook page offering monkey puzzle seedlings free. Within a fairly short time I had 26 requests! I posted last night that I'd be up at the car park at McCaig's Tower from 2-3 today, but nobody commented. I posted again this morning saying the same thing, and two 'liked'.  I took the car up and sat for an hour - two people came to claim their seedlings and then I gave up. So I walked up to the viewing platform, where I noticed that after my gentle suggestion recently that better drainage would be good on the paving the council had installed drains, took a picture inside for my Blip today, then came home. 

Fitted the previously cut slats to the top of the news staging, but unfortunately ran out of nails before I'd finished the job. I painted what I'd done and will finish the job tomorrow. 22 degrees out on the deck today and still 18 at 4.30! No wind, no rain either!
