Zumaia

First proper day of our trip and weather was kind after a heavy downpour last night. Not too far to walk into town. Although we did go wrong and needed to back track.

Lovely town. A non tourist town. Managed to order coffee and cheesecake for second breakfast before exploring. Followed a sign for a viewpoint that took us through a graveyard. Really interesting with a number of graves having family members going back nearly 100 years. Some having photos of the deceased. I thought this made for a nice connection it’s not just a name you could see the name. What they were like. I could imagine it giving comfort to friends and relatives.

The route took us onward to the coastal path and the beach. Nice. Lot of wave action and the odd surfer.

Walk back was slow and aided by a huge icecream.

Back at our motorhome early. Enough for one day.
