Australasian darters
I'm glad I pushed myself to walk in the park this afternoon when a slight drop in temperature permitted. It's been a long summer. I'm also glad that I took the camera with the 200mm lens because this is the first time that I saw both the female and male Australasian darters on the same day in the same park, but not near each other. They are loners, but at least they get together long enough to breed.
My main is the female, shown by her bit more white feathers. My extra is the male with its friend the ibis. Both the female and male have wonderful plumage, which they are happy to show off by spreading their wings as they sit. They also have great feet.
Another weekend over. Have a great start to the week.
