Shingleback Skink!

My first wild shingleback skink today!! Soooo excited!! I didn't think I'd actually see one and then we saw two! This guy was crossing the road along a stretch of road on the Nullabor Plain. I was going to pick him up and get a posed shot but he was super feisty and I didn't fancy a bleeding finger today :)

Another long day today. 12ookms roughly from Ceduna, SA to Norseman, WA. Some fabulous scenery today (Nullarbor Plain and Great Australian Bight) and also saw my first wombats! Although, sadly they were dead on the side of the road :(

One more day to go - hopefully we arrive in Perth by mid-afternoon tomorrow!
