Roseburn Park
A Second Saturday Stroll in the city. No 27 bus to Polworth, then to the meeting point in Harrison Park. A fine bank of daffodils between the park path and the canal path.
From there to Fountainbridge along the canal, onto the new bike path crossing Dalry Road and the railway to connect to the Roseburn path. From there to the coffee stop in Roseburn park, where there were long banks of crocuses enjoying the mild day and sunshine. Back to the path, along to the Water of Leith, and up to the Modern Two and One galleries.
By the Dean Cemetery to Stockbridge, and to Inverleith - rugby in progress. Through the Botanics - found my first bumble bee of the year on the path through the gardens; it was moved to a rhododendron flower in the sunshine. There was a fine white viburnum flowering.
From there to the East gate, where the main group went on to the pub and I left them to go home via George V park.
Another short walk later, to fetch a newspaper and vegetables.
