Cyrille Aimee

Today we made the 45 hour drive to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.  We arrive, had lunch and spent some time on the beach.  The weather was spectacular, much better than the rain we expected.  Tonight we had dinner at the “Jazz Corner”; a first rate jazz club, smack in the middle of the island.  It’s been a while.  The last time we were there, we saw Mose Allison.  The reason for this trip was to see the great Cyrille Aimee.  She is the wonderful French, Dominican jazz singer who presented music from around the world, singing in 3 languages, and of course in the special language of jazz.  She was accompanied by Oscar Russignelli from Honduras.  Well worth the trip.  We are staying overnight and returning home tomorrow.  The extra is from the beach.
