Catkins
A wonderfully bright sunny day, but a slight chill in the air all the same. By the time I reached back home after Cecilying to Garendon Park with Basil, I wished I had put a jacket on over my cardigan.
These catkins were hanging from a tree that had been broken down. I couldn't tell if it was a catkin or an alder. And I didn't quite get the lighting right. It should have been brighter.
One or two celandines popping their heads up.
Basil was very well behaved. I let him off the lead the whole time we were at Garendon and he didn't try to run off once.
Alastair called in late. He had devastating news. Chris has Stage 4 breast cancer, which has spread. She had started chemotherapy that morning.
