In which I nearly explode!
Today is the first day of my new diet, and my new fitness regime... and things are going well. So far. I have suddenly realised my creeping weight gain is creeping rather too far! And so... I'm on a diet. I'm also trying a chair yoga thingie for a week. I even got the 1kg weights out. Briefly. I'm also going to phone the doctor to say the pills she hoped would fix my aches are doing nothing. What to do next?
As well as the diet, I want to speed up my walking to make it actually count. Archie and I dander too much. He - sniffing and piddling, me - just slow. And so I put his harness on, and off we went, stepping out round the block. I stopped at rubbish bins for Archie to sniff and piddle, and he had one poo. But if I can do that a couple of times a day, with or without Archie, it must help. And amazingly enough, when Archie had gone out with Elizabeth, I set off once more, on my own. And timed it.
I felt I should make an effort this morning, as there were two rugby games in the afternoon. Gosh - France were superb! Scotland won!
The rest of my day - hours, in fact - I have been trying to reset my email account. I had vaguely wondered why I wasn't getting my usual swarm of unimportant emails... I EVENTUALLY got logged in, and 333 emails arrived on my iPad. YES! Since 22/2/25 I've just been getting a few of JR's emails from shops and holiday companies. The 333 were mostly ones I automatically delete - ones from local shops and restaurants and travel/holiday options, but there was one from a dear Kiwi friend, and a reply from the local Headmaster (and there was me, thinking he was very rude).
BUT BUT BUT... emails are STILL NOT coming in on my phone. I have tried re-setting a dozen times. Each time it then says my password is WRONG and I need to go through the whole rigmarole!!! I need to give up for today before I explode.
JR had a dander round Stockbridge and picked up my newly-toggled duffle coat on the way home. In a way, I hope today's lovely spring weather isn't here to stay just yet...
