Away

This morning Kermit demonstrated quite how tough cats are. Late yesterday evening I spotted that he'd ripped a couple of square centimetres of skin off his left side. There was no blood, but it looked raw. I put some Savlon onto it - which he immediately licked off - and decided I'd see how he was in the morning. When I came down he was fine, and barely objected to me inspecting it.

Earlier in the week, Falkirk seemed to be the best place for football, tourism and Turfing, but all the home tickets were sold for their match against Dunfermline Athletic. So, I bought one for the away end, and had the unusual experience of watching successive games for a team. Falkirk are leading the Championship, and an early goal seemed to have settled the game, since the Pars immediate "equaliser" from last week's hero Chris Kane was ruled out for handball, after which they didn't look like scoring. To be honest, the game was a poor spectacle. "The chance" came right at the end, when a scramble in the box almost fell to a Dunfermline player, but didn't.

Earlier, after walking Django, I'd driven to the centre of Grangemouth and taken a few Turf zones before arriving at the ground. After the game, I returned via the Helix park and the Kelpies. I took the classic up-close view (see extra) but I preferred this one, looking back as I followed the last couple of kilometres of the Forth and Clyde Canal.

A returns this evening but, before going to Waverley, I have to walk Django
