1109 day of war

Hello, friends!

I congratulate everyone on the Day of Struggle for Women's Rights!
I also want to thank you all for your words of support. Even in difficult moments, I understand that we are not alone, and no matter what happens, we will not be lost. A special thanks for the support on BuyMeACoffee.

It seems that this week has been a turning point in the war. At the beginning of the week, I felt like I was back in 2022—when everyone was running around, not knowing what to do, and no one understood what would happen next or what needed to be done.
Now, the situation feels very similar, and it is truly worrying. In fact, the U.S. has severed ties with us and is no longer our ally. I rewatched that meeting between Trump and Zelensky and wondered if perhaps the message could have been conveyed differently to avoid direct conflict. But after learning new information, I realized that it wouldn't have changed anything.
This dispute has only unmasked the current administration, and Trump has publicly expressed his position—not only regarding the war but also by making it clear that he will not continue the policies the U.S. has followed for as long as I can remember.

For me, this is difficult to comprehend. I was used to the idea that the U.S. is a defender of democratic values and always takes the side of democracy in conflicts. But now, that has changed, and we have to accept it. Trump's priority now is an allied relationship with Russia, and we seem to be standing in the way of that.
The halt in military aid and intelligence sharing clearly demonstrates this, and it feels like we are being prepared for capitulation. It has become clear what he meant when he said, "Ukraine is not ready for peace." It seems that "readiness" will mean agreeing to whatever Putin and Trump decide between themselves. This is not how we imagined the idea of peace through strength.
And it is strange to hear such rhetoric because, in reality, Ukraine did not start this war, nor is Ukraine the one advancing. Our army is holding back the offensive on our own cities, giving us time and the ability to live in our country.

We saw Russia's "readiness for peace" yesterday when we woke up at 4 a.m. to explosions. They hit a local gas pipeline, causing a massive fire that lit up the sky as if it were daytime.
To be honest, I am losing hope that Trump can be brought back to reality, and we must somehow live in this new reality—where both Russia and the U.S. are against us. I hope this is only temporary, but until something changes, we have to hold on.

It will be incredibly difficult, but we will endure—because we have no other choice.

The world is changing, and that is frightening, but I try to remind myself that change is part of life, and in these changes, we can become stronger. I see how Europe is changing, how people are beginning to understand where things are heading, and I believe that together, we will overcome this and emerge even stronger.

Thank you
