Winter in CA

This is down the street where I live. We say here: you can surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon. The ski resorts are not far away.
If I wanted to take a picture of the highest snow capped mountains I would  have to drive into the other directions and most of the time you have a wonderful view from the freeway and it's really hard to take a decent photo from there. We got a ton of snow and skiing is good. But: those were the days. 
I am just going to the beach today for a walk with my friend Julie.
