Dolly's Day

HEBE

My brother Colin and his friend Priscilla were due here this afternoon at 2pm .... but Colin messaged me to change the time to 3pm.  So I took the opportunity to pop down to the village to drop off a bag of stuff at the Barnardos charity shop and do some food shopping.

On my way home I took my blip shot.  I think its a Hebe bush.  Thanks to BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday. As you can see from the photo the weather was rainy.... but it wasn't cold.

Colin and Priscilla arrived at 3.20pm.  No chain sawing today as Colin was focused on the outdoor cat tree hes been building ( for what seems like years.  Hes a bit of a perfectionist so its got to be right. ). He had brought part of it and wanted to fix it to the cat enclosure and do some measurements for the rest of it.  He had his tool box with him and he and Priscilla managed ( eventually ) to bolt the large wooden step part of the cat tree to the cat enclosure. Fortunately it had stopped raining  by this time.   Priscilla and I headed indoors for a chat and a cup of coffee leaving  Colin outside to mull over what else he needs to do and take his measurements.  Everything takes so long as he's blind in one eye, his hearing isn't great and he had a migraine today.  Priscilla was keen to get away as she had a party to go to this evening. But Colin kept finding more things to do.  It was 6pm by the time we were able to " persuade " him it was time to go. Priscilla is a good friend and very kind to help Colin out the way she does.  So they will be returning another time to finish chopping up the lilac tree and finish off installing the cat tree.
