Robin Hood

Kara did the archery last year and loved it so we thought we’d do it again. She really enjoyed it again. This year they had the little Robin Hood hats that unfortunately they didn’t get to keep.

Had a big swimming session in the morning. Kara and I did the reopened smaller water slides twice and she showed Papa her swimming lesson skills. She seems to be a water kid just like me and would rather spend more time underwater than above. I was the same!

I also did the Canyon Ride water slide. Pretty good fun except the joins were pretty bumpy along the way. When I splashed down at the end my glasses (spare pair) flew off and away. I told the lifeguard. He chuckled and said ‘don’t worry mate, they’ll turn up soon. This bit at the bottom just goes round and round so the flow of the water will push them to the wall eventually.’ Luckily a wee kid had overheard and wanted to test out her treasure finding skills and goggles. A few minutes later I heard ‘I’ve got the glasses!!’ What a star! I’ll hold on to them next time!
