Lunch
Today I got up late, and gave Django a dull walk around Penicuik. Work-wise, I wrote myself a "to-do" list and covered half of it. This does mean that I gave the draft class test exercise for next week, and have given instructions to the invigilators, and final information to the students, particularly those with course adjustments.
When I went out to Lidl to buy lunch and dome groceries, I passed Lindsey's flower shop. I've had a soft spot for her since she took the Rainbows group that both our daughters attended, and gave a lot to all the girls in her charge. For 20 years her shop was on the north side of the high street, and was always a pleasure to see. In the autumn she moved to a smaller place on the south side, and today was the first time since that I've noticed her display extending to the pavement.
I ate my lunch whilst walking a short loop around the town, taking Turf zones that Hodge took back in no time: he's particularly active this round!
Afterwards, I ticked off a few more things, including setting up a programming "sandpit" for my intern R.
Now to relax and have tea
