Staffordshire daffodils
…in St Matthew’s Cemetery.
The graves visible are the carefully tended war graves. The stones with the numbers indicating the identity of the asylum patients are propped up against the far trees.
“Staffordshire” daffodils ? Yes indeed. A special local variety.
Some of these were replanted here after they had been discovered illegally on sale in markets in Birmingham having being stolen from Beaudesert (it is suggested).
Have a lovely weekend, my blip friends.
