Life is a Challenge!

FLOWER FRIDAY

First of all, thank you so much for all the wonderful comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s Wedding Anniversary Blip - you are all so kind and it was so heartening to read them all.  I did forget to mention that I had very kindly shared my cold germs with Mr. HCB, so he wasn’t feeling on top of the world, but we limped sniffed along together” - which, of course, is what marriage is all about - helping one another out in the good and the not-so-good times.

We enjoyed an evening of reminiscing and because I am a chocoholic, decided that it would be best if we allowed ourselves just TWO chocolates so that we could savour them, and then there would be plenty left for other evenings, so that was what we did.

This morning, Mr. HCB says he feels a little better, and he has another appointment with the nurse today, so we are hoping he will be allowed to leave the covering off his forehead, so that it can heal well.

Looking out from our bedroom window, I was thrilled to see the white blossom on the trees outside our fence, so wondered about going round and cutting some off so that I could take a shot for Flower Friday.  However, my gallant “knight in shining armour” offered to get the small steps out and cut a couple of branches for me, which is what he did.  I watched him like a hawk, to make sure he was safe and he came in bearing three branches, which will sit in our conservatory, so that we can see their beauty.

We aren’t sure what variety the tree is, but it does produce little plum-like fruits, so is probably a self-seeded tree - it certainly attracts the Nepalese neighbours, so when the tree is full of fruit, they are out there picking them!  I decided to take them outside and put them against our blue fence and think they look quite pretty.

Hope you all have a great weekend and that the sun will shine on you, wherever you are and whatever you do.  M xx
