Another Glorious Day
This morning i washed the bedding which dried outside by lunchtime. I went with G to the talk at the library on Medical Detection Dogs. They are used as either Bio Detection dogs to improve the diagnosis of cancer and other diseases (trialling Parkinson’s at the moment), or as Medical Alert Assistance dogs to support people on a daily basis with life-threatening health conditions including allergies. It takes 18 months to 2 years to train a dog which costs £28k. The bio detection dogs work just 3 sessions a day, each of 20 minutes. Very interesting. I had to take my first hayfever tablet this year, got the normal streaming eyes, tight chest and the horrible metallic taste in my mouth. This afternoon I drove over to Cromer, had a bimble on the beach, then sat on the pier in the sun and sheltered from the wind - it was a glorious 18C and I wore a t shirt for the first time this year, and suncream.
