Crumpled Joy

With all that's going on in the world in this present bewildering and sometimes scary time it can be difficult to remain positive but I think we have to try to cling on to those moments of joy.
I was trying to find an image that could sum this up when I came across  a depiction of a joyous face in a fashion magazine and decided to make a collage using some cut out flowers to represent the hope that Spring brings. It still didn't feel quite right until I scrunched up the paper and it seemed to sum up the present mood - we may all feel a bit crumpled by events but we still have to try and seek out joy when and where we can find it.
