The Pannier Market

During the day this is a vibrant and busy market, each day has a different theme and different stalls. The market can be food, or second hand or new clothes, wool, tools. But at night this is a vast empty space, the theater used to kick out into it and the place was used for parking, but it is no longer linked to the theater and cars are not allowed in or through it.

I remember seeing break dancers and BMXers practicing, groups of youths just used to hang out there and had cardboard boxes flattened to sit or dance on, now its got CCTV and is an empty space. You can see the shape and style of the original market and there are arches along both sides for full access even if some are now bricked up.
