J and T

As regular readers will know, I don't often blip people. I don't particularly like asking people if it's ok so to do, and people rarely volunteer, as J and T did today. So that was nice, and gave me an easy blip.

We met J and T (J was my first ever PhD student; T was a PhD student here at UoE, but did not work with me; now they are both professors and work together on various projects) for dinner in Ka Pao. It was great. It proved that the answer to Jay Rayner's question "can you have a good meal in a bad building?" is yes. I'm glad that's now proved. I would definitely go again.

It was a fun and laughter filled evening after another day of getting through the stuff.... But at least I have a list of what I have to do over the next few days, so no risk of not being fully occupied.
