Slightly odd day today with various moving parts at work and planning for the departure of a couple of highly valued colleagues (one being my boss). For various financial reasons, he’s trying not to go off sick until the end of June, but I’ll be amazed if he makes it that far as his health is declining rapidly. Parkinsons is incredibly cruel and draining to and for those afflicted.

It also makes you thankful for your own good (physical) health and puts any mental health worries into perspective. Life is there for the living, not for every action to be relentlessly overthought!  

At the other end of the spectrum I had The Youngest off with me today because of a poorly tummy, but she seems to have perked up as the day has worn on.

The really great news of the day is the m’boy played in and WON his very first rugby match! I’m so proud of him, because he’s one of the smaller boys in his year and has the structural integrity of a sun-dried twig, but he still wanted to get out there and get stuck in!

There’s lots of good stuff to reflect on too!
