When I finally emptied the coffee pot, I drove off to find a car wash before 9 AM. My poor car is so dusty and gritty, when I brush by it, my clothes get dirty.

I drove over to the automatic car wash by the south frontage road. D used to take our pickup there when we got an oil change. That was before covid and I really didn't remember how it works.

The system will take a credit card so I drove up as close as I dared. I was looking at the control panel and into the sun. I had to bend into contortions to get my card in the slot while reading and tapping the screen. Somehow I managed it, then moved slowly into the wash bay.

I had fun taking my photos. A fellow from the shop peered around the corner at me. I'm sure he was wondering what I was up to.

I followed the command light when it said to drive out. The air blowers did not completely clear the water off, so I carefully exited. A look back from the parking lot gave me a shot of the pickup that had come in behind me.

Now, that wasn't so bad. As long as my credit card isn't scammed, I can consider this a success.

I'm home and back at the sewing machine. Only two weeks until I must be packed and ready to launch for home.
