Horses being taken to the riding stables
I went for a short walk up the valley, through the cemetery and on down Horns Road. It was beautifully sunny and warm. I enjoyed standing looking over the steep hillside of the Horns valley at the horses in their paddocks.
A couple of women stopped to chat about what photographs I was taking, and we laughed when I said that the rabbits were playing by the mole hills lower down the slope. 'It is spring', one of the women said. They then walked up to the nearby gate and into the paddocks to greet the horses.
A short while later I turned and saw them were leading three horses along the road past me to the riding stables which are in the former Horns farm a few hundred yards up the valley. I expect it was time for grooming and feeding them.
The small yellow tipper truck had been used to bring rubble to be used for filling in potholes as I think it is a private road.
