The Pipes…

….the good people of Bossels took their first sip of piped drinking water in 1878, courtesy of Lord Polwarth (that’s Polwarth, Berwickshire, not Polwarth, Embra). The tap is switched off these days lest any puddle drinkers from Polwarth feel tempted.

I went to bed with a fully functioning back last night but woke with sore ribs down one side. It’s a sensation of weakness, and movement causes it to tense, inflicting a jab of pain. Curious and a tad annoying. I’ll ask Nancy to jab her elbow into it later, she’s quite good at that.
