In the sunshine

I watched this blackbird enjoying a long splash in our improvised bird bath (a very large terracotta saucer - which seems to suit the birds just fine).  I didn't have the camera to hand, but went to get it, and was just in time to catch him drying off in the nearby quince tree. This was taken through the patio doors.  I love that intense yellow on the beak and around the eye.
Simple pleasures.
Edit: listening to the 5 p.m. news, I hear that the Trump govt has now stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine, as part of their wider withdrawal of support.  Trump is clearly intent on bringing about victory for Putin.
