Feeling slightly less snotty, I spent a happy couple of hours in the sunny garden this morning. I got about half the pruning done on the rampant fig tree; the highest branches might need me to bring in reinforcements, I think (and Richard is due home tonight, so we could probably finish it together later in the week).
In the afternoon I went to see the film 'I am Martin Parr' with Marie, an old friend. What a treat this was. I've always liked his photography; Marie wasn't familiar with it beforehand, but really liked what she saw.
Today's image is from a little 'pocket park' near the Showroom cinema.  The park is part of some new landscaping alongside the River Sheaf, which is gradually being rescued from all the culverting that has covered it up for decades.  You can just see some details from a mural by Jo Peel - the black and white buildings, and the turquoise sky; much of it has been overlaid by later graffiti.
