Tiny songster

Thanks so much for your best wishes yesterday. Lili has had a good night and seems fine today - though she’s a bit wobbly and keeps falling over. I suspect it’s a combination of the anaesthetic and adjusting to balancing with her ‘chicken drumstick’! And as for me, I’m fine. The persistent cough is definitely better but is still lurking and I suspect I may have to have a further course of antibiotics.

Meanwhile, work around the house continues with skirting boards and picture rails going back on today. We should also have British Gas here fitting a new boiler, but someone seems to have cancelled the scaffolding needed for them to access the flue so they’ve just left the new boiler, pipes etc in the living room until the logistics of the task are sorted! Nothing’s ever simple!

It’s so wonderful to have sunshine and a real sense of spring, and we enjoy an escape from the chaos of renovation with a short walk in the reserve in Conwy. There’s lots of birdsong and with trees still bare, it’s possible to see the songsters. Tiny Tuesday’s theme is ‘Animal’ - thanks for hosting Jen - and while I’m unsure whether a robin’s really small enough to count, this melodic little redbreast is my blip today. There’s a collage of other sightings in extras.
