Golden Sands
The beach is actually called Whitesands but it's where we finished our day's photography. The light was gorgeous and there were probably a dozen images I'd have been pleased to have posted from here. There is another as the fourth extra.
We started the day at the Blue Lagoon, Abereiddy. It's an old slate mine close to the sea and once they'd finished working it they blasted the end out to let the sea in. At low tide it remains full as a separate lagoon. The rock with the waves (like an old washing machine in action) is nearby.
Our next location was Porthgain Harbour, which has a nice little building that reminded me of the net loft at Mullion Cove. A fishing boat came in with its catch as we were about to leave at that's become my third extra. It's been a good day.
