Church Doors Cove
Our first stop today was Skrinkle Haven and Church Doors. It's a walk down steep steps on the cliff side to the lovely bay. A bit difficult to get around as the boulders make walking difficult. I believe there's a nice sandy beach once the tide is out but it was in when we were there. It's named after the large caves that look like church doors. The light was very harsh this morning and this shot was taken from the right hand side of the beach which was in shadow.
Our next stop was Carew Castle nearby and it's a tidy little castle, more of a grand house I suspect although I haven't read up on the history. Proper fortresses don't have these large windows.
After returning to our base for a while we went out again to Strumble Head lighthouse for sunset and quite a magnificent sunset it was too. We didn't stay while it developed it's full pink colours as we were getting hungry and wanted our meal. We could see it as we drove away though
