Favourite Place
It's important to have one. I thought when I 'gave up' the car that this would become inaccessible: I made sure to go there by bicycle as soon as I could, but it always seemed like a day-trip away. It isn't now: it's a relatively quick (albeit uphill) sprint away.
Generally, I'm very happy in my own company, but I do feel a hole after I've spent time with lovely people. Today was one of those days. But I've learned what to do: I keep busy, I go to a favourite place and I read and I connect with people as much as I can. It doesn't matter if they are a million miles away: the connection is what matters.
Life is good.
And Aunty Mim is visiting tomorrow...
(and I have Merlot)
